1.Arusha National Park:

2.Gombe Stream National Park:

This is one of the smallest national parks of Tanzania, which covers an area of only 52 square kilometers. It has grassy steep rolling hills, river valleys and sandy shores. The animals inhabited are chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey and beach comber olive baboon. It entrails a rich and big bird life of 200 bird species, including African fish eagles.

3.Lake Manyara National Park:

It covers an area of 330 square kilometres. The blue volcanic peaks and steppes form the geography of the park. It comes under the palustrine and riverine wetland ecosystem. The animals who reside here are baboons, bushbuck, banded mongoose, pairs of klipspringer and blue monkeys. 400 species of birds are recorded here in the park. On any day, 100 of these birds can be sighted such as flamingoes, pelicans and cormorants. The park also provides pleasure activities to its visitors such as mountain biking, canoeing and abseiling. 4.Rubondo Island National Park:

It is an island park covering an area of 457 square kilometres or 176 sq mi. The Rubondo Island National Park includes nine small islands. It is within the ecosystem of lacustrine wetland. This island is also known as "Water Wonderland". Some special species found here are tilapia and Nile perch. Other mammal species found here are hippos, vervet monkeys, mongooses which are not easily accessible. They coexist with new species such as chimpanzee, black-and-white colobus, bushbucks and aquatic sitatunga.

5. Ngorongoro Conservation Area:

This is not a National Park but still it covers an area of around 8,292 sq km or 3,202 sq mi. It was identified as a World Heritage Site by UNE ,UNESCO in the year 1979. The criteria for calling it as a World Heritage Site includes:

1. An evidence about human-environment dynamics and human evolution was found here.

2. The Ngorongoro Crater, is the largest intact caldera in the world.

3. It has large number of wildlife, having 25,000 large animals. 4. Its variations of climate, altitude, landforms result in overlapping of ecosystems and different habitats.
