ONE DAY IN THE AMAZON RIVER BASIN

World’s second longest, deepest and dazzling natural water way or we can say a divine and wildest natural water kingdom. Yes! We are talking about “AMAZON”. The Amazon River Basin covers an area of more than 2,355,223 square miles. It covers 44% of land area in South America. Amazon River Basin is almost covered by tropical rain forest. The region is mostly flat here. It has warm tropical climate with only two seasons one is dry or low water season and the other is newly six month rainy season.

It is a beautiful place and often accessible through water. You cannot get roads here. It will be a road less travel which you will love. Here means of transportation is by water. You can use boats as a vessel for traveling. You will also see homemade rafts. And if you want to travel far (long distance) you can go for travel fairy (ship) which consists of air-conditioned rooms, bathrooms and all basic needs.

 While traveling through this beautiful water way, you will see some small villages on the bank of the river. Most of these settlements consist of few houses. These houses are built on stilts which are high enough to keep them safe during flood in the rainy season. Even one day in the Amazon River basin can give you lifetime experience.
