2. Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, California, USA

This used to be a huge lunatic asylum, built in the village of Hellingly, under the order of The County Authority of East Sussex. The sexes used to be separated in different areas, as it was the tradition in institutions at that age. The hospital then saw its decline and closed most of its doors by the end of 1991.
